A very intense story with many battles, much loss of life which included humans, elves, dwarfs, evil creatures and dragons. Nath Dragon was willing to die for his friends and they for him. The evil dragon King did his best to destroy anyone in his reach. The battle scenes were somewhat drawn out and I felt the ending was abrupt with no final words concerning a number of key characters and how they all made out. Once again a saga comes to an end and I am sad. This was one of the best epic stories I ever read and look forward to reading the next journey of the dragons.
The final book seemed a little bit rushed, but was not a disappointment by any means. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the entire series and would recommend them to any one that enjoys fantasy books. Thank you Mr. Halloran for a great story!!
This series is foe all ages. Excitement, action, adventure; it teaches that learning patience is a hard thing to do but most rewarding. It shows how friendships should be nurtured because they can soon be lost if you're not careful. It has a lot of good teaching points & shows that love can change you for good.
I read for enjoyment and I was satisfied with the outcome. This is not a literary masterpiece because those are hard for me to enjoy. The character development is better than most, they keep me reading to see the end, but then successful stories just begin again in a new series.
I wanted a change in geres, this was a fun. It's exciting, waiting for the next installment, but totally worth the wait ) thanks for the fun ride. I will miss all our hero's and hope a new adventure comes around someday. The values were great and didn't seem forced. Each character was written very well and were likeable, even Gorn. I'll be checking out more of the author's journeys. Reader in her 5o' s!
I wish this chronology could go on for years, but even the author would probably get tired of it. But I say 3 cheers for the time and patience that it took to complete the series.
I will be looking for the next collection of material that is published by Halloran.
I LOVE this series! I did not rate it on a book to book bases but I did love each and every book! When I started to read this series, the 1st seven books were already out and I was lucky that I didn't have to wait long for the eighth. Waiting for the nineth and then the finale was murder!!! I couldn't wait to see what would happen next!! I have always loved dragons but never thought about dragons in human form before reading this series! I am hooked!!! I already miss these characters and hope that the author will write them into a new series! If you like dragons and magic and action and adventure, you will love these books!!
